Elway- We're NOT talking the quarterback here

I got my hands on a copy of the single they've put out which features three songs, if you like the Gamits, Lawrence Arms, or Alkaline Trio, you'll love this band.  Good bar punk rock sound.  Booming choruses that you can sing along with, and verses that build up to those booming choruses.
Straight out of the facebook profile this is how Elway describes themselves:

"Elway is an American punk rock band from Fort Collins, Colorado. Their sound is a unique and inebriated take on a time-tested formula: aggressive punk rock with soaring melodies coupled with lyrics ranging from that of the sad sap to the indignant atheist with a bevy of homespun dick jokes."

I wanted to do another live review. Posting the thoughts I have of the songs as I'm listening to them right now.  It's all about living in the now, and that's what I think a music review should be.

Passing Days-  Song that blends all things together.  Soft and quiet verse that has some cool guitar leads happening.  Drums beat along to the beat, and give you something to bounce with.  Really enjoying the singers voice, and you can't a good "whoa" in a short bridge section.  Ends with just singing and guitar a cool way to end a song.

Patrick's Scarf is so Douche-   Head bopping along to the beat of the beginning of this song.  The singing once again catches my attention.  I love an unique singing voice, and that's what I would call this singer's voice.  Gang vocals on the chorus is fantastic.  A great staple of this type of sound.

Wolf Shirt-  Singing reminds me of Chris from the Lawrence Arms.  A more melodic song in my mind.  A little more mellow than the other two songs in this single. Still a great song.

Overall, I'm excited for more music to come from Elway.  Go find them on facebook, like them, and check out the music yourself.
